Bethel Park Historical Society & Bethel Park Volunteer Fire Company Open Houses

Updated: Mar 24, 2020

On Sunday, October 13th the Bethel Park Historical Society and the Bethel Park Volunteer Fire Company hosted Open Houses for the community.

The 1905/1917 Bethel Park Historical Society schoolhouse has undergone major renovations over the past few years. If you have driven by the schoolhouse then you have witnessed the transformation of the land-marked building. "If you live in Bethel Park then it is apparent we are a very united community and have all come together for a good cause and to support one another." That was the message of today's ceremony at the Open House, along with how the schoolhouse has become the gem of the community. If you haven't stopped by yet, the schoolhouse is a repository for the history of our community, boasts school-related memorabilia, has a Military Museum to honor local veterans, a Coal Miners Museum to honor the Coverdale and Mollenauer Mines, artist studios and a dance studio, a coffee shop and is the newest unique venue for private and corporate parties.

At the ceremony today, the Foundation was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Bethel Park Historical Society for continuous support to its initiatives. We look forward to its continuous work and can't wait to revisit very soon!
