The Hall of Honor

It's Not Too Late To Become A Part of Bethel Park History

Orders in Phase II Are Being Accepted Through March 15, 2008

On Saturday, March 31, 2007, ground was broken for the Recreation Center addition to the Bethel Park Community Center, and the Bethel Park Community Foundation proudly embarked on the Hall of Honor Campaign to raise funds towards the interior amenities of this new facility. On Saturday, January 19, 2008, the ribbon was cut and the new Recreation Center officially became a part of the Community Center.  Our beautiful new addition boasts a full court plus half court gymnasium, a fitness room, a classroom and an elevated 1/12th mile walking track.  An outside concession stand is ready to service the athletic field in the Center's backyard.  There are a total of 8 basketball hoops and the gymnasium can accommodate three half court size volleyball courts.  The locker room provides a place for athletes to store their personal belongings while using the facilities, and bleachers along the perimeter of the gym floor provide a great spot for fans to cheer on their favorite teams.

The Hall of Honor campaign continues to raise funds to provide for the interior amenities such as the basketball hoops, volleyball standards sets, lockers, bleachers and more. At the time the ribbon was cut, we proudly raised $50,000 but our efforts continue.  Phase II of the Hall of Honor program is now underway.  All tiles ordered by March 15th will be displayed in time for our scheduled Reception for all Hall of Honor donors on April 12, 2008.

You can become a lasting part of this effort by purchasing a ceramic tile to be placed on the Hall of Honor connecting the current building to the new addition.  We are offering you the opportunity to purchase a 4" x 4" tile for $100 (3 lines) or an 8" x 8" tile for $500 (5 lines).  We also are offering a Hall of Fame for larger donors.  Please contact us directly for more information on becoming a member of the Hall of Fame.
